In the early fifth century, when some monks were busy inventing Shaolin Kung Fu, German monks took a vow of deliciousness and invented the pretzel. Believe it or not, they were made to mimic arms folded in prayer and used to reward small children for good deeds. Even back then, they were a hit.
Flash forward a couple of centuries. Pretzelmaker / Pretzel Time introduced their famous soft pretzel in 1991. It was a hit. Today, they offer an awesome selection of hot, fresh-baked, fresh twisted pretzels, pretzel dogs, freshly squeezed lemonade, creamy blended drinks, and cold beverages all over the world. You can find them in over 360 locations in the U.S. and worldwide.
Get your calendars out and circle Saturday, April 26th as Pretzelmaker celebrates its yearly tradition of giving away free pretzels on National Pretzel Day, while raising funds and awareness for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS). Customers are invited to visit their local Pretzelmaker to receive a free soft pretzel (standard salted or unsalted) and will be encouraged (but not obligated) to make an in-kind donation of any amount to the organization. If the company achieves its goal of giving away 65,000 pretzels, Pretzelmaker will make a corporate contribution to LLS, which seeks to find cures and ensure access to treatments for blood cancer patients. Limit one per customer.
